सही इतिहास कब और कौन पढ़ायेगा?
*Deadly attack on Sardar Patel*
We were taught in books that Mahatma Gandhi was killed by Nathuram Godse, but we were never taught who attacked Sardar Patel and tried to kill him on 14 May 1939 in Bhavnagar and how many criminals were sentenced to death and life imprisonment by the court.
The fifth session of the Bhavnagar State Praja Parishad was to be held in Bhavnagar on 14 May and 15 May 1939 under the chairmanship of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel came to Bhavnagar and a grand procession of his was taken out in an open jeep from the railway station.
Sardar Patel was sitting in the open jeep and accepting the greetings of the people standing on both sides of the road. When this procession reached Khar Gate Chowk, 57 peace-loving people hiding in the Nagina Mosque ran towards the jeep with swords, knives and spears.
Two young men Bachchubhai Patel and Jadhavbhai Modi saw them, they stood holding Sardar Patel from all sides and like a shield, bore the entire deadly attack on themselves.
They became Sardar Patel’s protective shield. The attackers made several sword attacks on both the young men, in which Bachchubhai Patel died on the spot itself while Jadhavbhai Modi died in the hospital.
At the place where both those brave young men died, their statues are also installed there.
The then British government conducted a very thorough investigation into this incident and formed a special court. 57 accused were arrested, out of which Azad Ali, Rustam Ali Sipahi were sentenced to death, and Kasam Dosa Ghanchi, Latif Mian Qazi, Mohammad Karim Sipahi, Syed Hussain, Chand Gulab Sipahi, Hasham Sumra Sandhi, Lohar Musa Abdullah, Ali Mian Ahmed Mian Syed, Ali Mamad Suleman, Mohammad Suleman Kunbar, Abu Bakar Abdullah, Lohar Ahmadia, Mohammad Mian Qazi were sentenced to life imprisonment.
They said in the court that Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel had given a speech against the Muslim League in Kolkata. The conspiracy to kill him was hatched from that.
It is unfortunate that this incident of history was removed from the books by the Congres Nehru government after Patel ji’s death so that in future no one could know that the murderous attack on Sardar Patel and the conspiracy to kill him was once hatched by peace-loving people.

आज़ादी के बाद सरदार पटेल ने अपने भाषण में मुसलमानों से प्रश्न किया कि पाकिस्तान अलग लेकर भी मुसलमान यहाँ क्यों रहना चाहते हैं? एक दिन में क्या भारत उनके लिए बदल गया है जो कल तक पाकिस्तान की मांग कर रहे थे, और आज उन्हें पाकिस्तान न जाकर भारत में ही रहना है???
सचमुच यह प्रश्न तो हमें आज भी मुसलमानों से पूछना चाहिए कि जब तुमने अपने मजहब के आधार पर अलग देश पाकिस्तान ले लिया तो आज हिंदुस्थान में रहकर क्यों हमारे देश को सड़ा रहे हो?
ये मक्कार है? विश्वसनीय कतई नहीं हैं ये लोग!
